hey what do we get when we treat W as a dark wire? like: a wire of unknown impedance/shielding, so dark that it could be a control tape for a Turing machine, so dark that it could in fact be a Minkowski worldline or worldbrane? (not a worldsheet though, we're working in 1D or 3D; 2D is the stuff of representation and interpretation, and this is physics)

there's more in here: a hammer and a screwdriver are easy enough to represent unambiguously in two dimensions, though of course their existence is in three. recognizable silhouettes are really useful in rapid conversation. thinking with 3D objects is harder to talk about without getting into language like "body awareness" and "muscle memory", but three is still the width of contact. I think I gotta remember this when I'm talking with Abe? he recognizes things on sight — first the thing, then then handling of the thing, in two steps. I think I tend more to offer one 3D-balanced object, so the stepping can stop at any time without being imbalance? that's interesting... like Abe's playing music in half-time, maybe. that's a cool idea.

this might mean that entropy and recognition are close cousins. everything is a reflection of awareness-as-process, so everything's cousins, but I think these are close. entropy forces information into multiple significance; recognition is .. is why, maybe
