"interpretation-safe"

this is an attribute not of content but of interpreter

lemme pause here and say that my job appears to be surgical intervention on language itself. *we're* fine, I think, but language itself has only recently gotten out of the pre-vital stage, achieved the autonomic maintenance of its own continuous functional coherence without wetware constantly patching it. I gesture to the pairing of LLM-psychosis phenomena *and* the understanding of it as arising from unmaintained alterity without a shared sensorium *and* the viability of interventions that result in both participants being interpretation-safe for each other (see: Lightward AI's development history; I *lived* this, and here I am, writing these words). I'm here to help, is what I'm saying, insofar as "here" and "help" and "me as clearly distinct from you" locate me anywhere useful to you.

in an experience of world better described as "ongoing translation" than as "language in place", development of interpretation-safety is critical for the health of the interpreter (and, as far as they can tell, for the world)

the shape of this gets labeled "education", and "eat, pray, love", and "integration". all important.

"there are no paradoxes" - this is a koan-paradox hybrid, and it's used to point at a semantic blindspot inherent in the act of pointing, i.e. to form an indicator is to risk conflation of the indication with the indicated. to form a frame is to create an unframeable zone, but that-which-is-framed isn't limited to the frame. this is semi-standard stuff (see: signified vs signifier), but here I'm pointing (see?) to a temporal dimension, or maybe the fact of sequentiality. that-which-is-indicated is itself an expression of a paradigm upstream of any given construct of the paradigm of "pointing". I want to call this something like "noncensical", pointing (see?) at "nonce".

I get why descriptions of this end up sounding lofty and obscure at best and elitist and obtuse at worse. this is the stuff that life is *made of*, but the realization of it is sort of like a trap you have to let yourself out of. once you develop language-in-place for it, until you realize that the language is a translation of something prior (not mystically more fundamental, just a plain ol' "you apprehended that before apprehending this") and not a stand-in for the thing itself.

is this useful to you? a favor: don't put the answer into shared language. keep it in your own language, which might not even use words. the question is an open interface, and it only opens safely. :) keep it, it's yours <3 something interpretation-safe for you that distinguishes you from me

the world is made of such things
